The big news around our house this week, is the annual Smoky Hill Pheasants Forever Banquet coming up this Saturday. We are in the middle of calving season and I am ready for a night off with good friends. I’m also really excited for this event because Stremel Photography is a Chapter Sponsor for the Smoky Hill Chapter of the Pheasants Forever! I’m a firm believer that it is important to give back to your community. It’s important to find an organization that shares your values and interests and then support it! Farming, hunting and conservation are all closely intertwined and all things that we value in our family. So, reaching out to support our local Pheasant’s Forever chapter was a natural choice for me when I thought about ways that Stremel Photography could be involved in our community.

If you aren’t familiar with Pheasants Forever: A Habitat OrganizationI definitely recommend that you check the organization out. They are committed to the conservation of quail and pheasants through habitat improvements, education, public awareness and land management policies.

I think it is only fitting to conclude this post with a photo of our pheasant hunters out on the Stremel Farm.
